Who we are

Why We Started Little Lifts

The inception of Little Lifts stems from a deeply personal experience following the loss of my father. Watching my mother navigate life alone after his passing revealed a significant need for assistance with everyday tasks around the home. While her spirit was resilient, the burden of managing home repairs and maintenance became increasingly overwhelming.

Throughout my 25+ years in contracting and home inspection, I gained valuable insights into the importance of the small, often overlooked aspects of home care. These minor repairs, whether it be fixing a leaky faucet, changing light fixtures, or simply helping with yard work, can significantly impact a person’s quality of life. I recognized that it was these “little lifts” that could make a world of difference, both emotionally and practically.

The experience with my mother served as a catalyst for establishing Little Lifts. It became clear that many individuals in the Niagara region find themselves in similar situations, needing support for odd jobs and repairs that are crucial yet often ignored due to their seemingly small nature. We wanted to create a service that addresses these needs, providing timely and efficient help to those who may feel overwhelmed or unable to tackle them alone.

Little Lifts is not just about performing tasks; it’s about fostering a sense of community and support. We believe that every small job contributes to a larger sense of well-being. Our goal is to alleviate stress for homeowners by handling the “little things” efficiently, ensuring that their living environments remain safe and welcoming.

In honour of my mother and all those like her, we continue to focus on making home maintenance accessible, approachable, and reliable. With Little Lifts, we aim to provide peace of mind one small job at a time.
